welcome to my corner of the web. i'm denpa. i'm a 21+ year old neo-bostonite that misses the old web. this site is a forever work-in-progress that looks best on desktop. but you can still view it, albeit with less features, on mobile if you really want to.
who? i'm denpa. i'm 24. i'm a triple leo. i'm not a very interesting person. i like visual novels, translating, old tech (though i'm very technically inept), and anything creepy-cute. i'm a goth and an artist. i have a 4 year psych degree and i hope to get a doctorate one day. my goal is to become a clinical psychologist.
what? i like goth subculture and music, psychology, visual novels, denpa (the subculture and the genre), spirituality, 2000s culture, and organizing things. i grew up in the 2000s-2010s so behavior and media from that era is a soft spot for me. i like the independence of web culture of the past. less ads, more personal freedom. but that philosophy is all over neocities, so i won't bore you with the details.
when? this site was started on 12.13.2025. basically 2026.
where? behind you.
why? i created this site out of sheer boredom. my editor's been pushing me to make a personal site but the problem is that i have no idea what to put in here. i'm really not that interesting. unique, sure. i'll grant myself that much. but i draw blanks whenever people ask me what my interests and hobbies are ahaha... does anyone else relate?
about the aesthetic: my layout is themed after hashiyan and zebra's "matryoshka" cover! it's what you're listening to right now. it was a very formative song/music video in my childhood. i first listened to it when i was around 10 or 11 years old and i was instantly obsessed. i learned all the lyrics and painted my own matryoshka design onto some flimsy walmart hoodie. i listened to it on repeat for probably dozens of hours (this was before the days of spotify wrapped, so i don't have an exact figure). it sparked my interest in japanese rap-rock and fueled my already existing interest in anime and anime-adjacent culture. i was probably fujo-ing out a bit over hashiyan and zebra's self-insert characters, too. overall it's a great song that's super nostalgic for me. dare i say it's better than the original (no, it's definitely better than the original. sorry, hachi).
